How Humidity Makes Hair Frizzy - This $10 Tool Will Help

All my life people would say things like “it’s so humid my hair is freaking out” but I didn’t really know what that meant. At the ripe young age I am, I looked into it.

Why Humidity Makes Hair Frizzy

When it’s humid that means there is a lot of moisture in the air. Water molecules from the air will enter your hair strand, and the shape of your hair will change. Usually not for the better, or so some say.

How do I know if it’s Humid?

You can guess or you can buy a measurement device - aka indoor thermometer. I’m obsessed with data measurement so I got this one from Amazon that was affordably priced. It’s February here in LA so it’s not humid but the summer here - hah! I can’t wait to update this post to show how it changes. This one even gives a reading if it’s DRY, COMFORTABLE or WET.

Other Problems Humidity Can Cause:

  • Chapped lips

  • Growth of fungus or mold

  • Dehydration

  • Muscle cramps

  • Fatigue

  • Asthma

  • Allergies

Conclusion

Spend the $10 to see if you need to later get a humidifier or dehumidifier (I’ve had both depending on where I am).
